Due to the FIRST MINISTERS ANNOUNCEMENT earlier this week and the rapidly rising number of Covid cases, the MBPJ have taken the difficult decision to reschedule both of the indoor activity sessions planned for this Saturday. I understand this will be a disappointment for all the MBPJ participants and also for the artists/creators. Be assured we will reschedule the sessions for February, though with a different theme! Wishing you all a lovely Christmas!
Get ready for a creative way to recycle all those 500ml plastic drinks bottles into a FAMILY OF FESTIVE GNOMES! We’d love your parent/guardian/carer to stay and enjoy the making to.
Your Art guide will be Artist – Iona Leishman is a wonderful and creative painter, who has enjoyed Art residencies for Historic Environment Scotland within the stunning Stirling Castle and within Cowane’s Hospital Stirling and has exhibited within many galleries throughout Scotland. Art in her own words; Feeling my way into colour, space and texture. Welcoming emerging bodies, buildings, waterway and skies. Painting for me is about surrender and trust – surrendering to a flow and being shown worlds beyond worlds.
The cost for this activity is significantly discounted for MBPJ participants, meaning this is a really great opportunity to join a MAC arts session. There is a maximum of 10 places available, so better book your place quick while they last.
Wear some old clothes or an apron you don’t mind getting messy and gluey in. Importantly – remember you need to bring some 500ml empty plastic bottles, along with some old pairs of children’s socks (age 1-3) if you have them. We’ll provide all the glue, fluff and other bits n bobs you’ll need.
Refreshments; Please bring your own juice, and fruit or snacks, but please nothing which contains nuts.
